Meeet The Team

Dr Fionnuala Brophy  MB, MRCGP, MICGP, DCH, DOBs, DME, FPC, TMC.

Fionnuala graduated from University College Cork in 1990, and subsequently trained on the Sligo West of Ireland general practice scheme and completed her GP training in Scotland. Also a further year training in both A+E medicine and one in Medicine for the Elderly. Fionnuala then went into full-time General Practice - joining us in 2002.

Fionnualas interests lie in :

- Travel Medicine

- Contraception

- Sexual Health and STI's

- Family Planning

Dr Patrick Brophy MB Bch BAO DCH DObs, MRCGGP DFC

Pat graduated from Royal College of Surgeons in 1985. He subsequently trained in Dublin, then in Scotland and Australia. Pat is also our GP trainer in the North East General Practice Training Scheme. He trains doctors in General Practice and and is also involved with the training of  students from both RCSI and UCD.

Pats interests lie in:

- Minor Surgery

- Skin Lesion Excision

- Ingrown toe nail wedge resection

- Cryotherapy

- Joint injections

Angela Chadwick Practice Nurse

Angela joined the practice on the 25th August 2016.  She has worked for over thirty years in various nursing and management positions in the Mater Hospital.  Angela has been working for the last 6 years as a Practice Nurse. We welcome Angela to the Brophy Practice and look forward to to having her as a member of our team

 

 

Catherine Aileen and Sarah are your first contact with the surgery and they are our medical receptionists and will deal with any queries.

Deirdre Stanford joined the practice as our medical secretary and receptionist in 2002, and since completing the Irish College of General Practitioners Diploma, is now our Practice Manager.

 

Catherine Keelan Practice Nurse

Cathy joined the practice on the 29th August 2016. She qualified from St James's Hospital in 1999.  Cathy has a BSc in Nursing from the Royal College of Surgeons.  She also worked as a staff nurse in the A&E Department in St James's Hospital.  Cathy has been a practice nurse since 2006.
